Partners in the collective work of transformational change

Together, we’ll develop a vision and build capacity for justice-centered schools where all students thrive.

What we do

At Red Clay Educators Dr. Sonja Cherry-Paul leads the collective work of radically reimagining schools for the purpose of cultivating equitable, humanizing educational spaces.

Echoed across the research is that all students thrive when educational practices become stances where equity is the sturdy foundation from which all work emerges. Red Clay Educators is dedicated to supporting schools, districts, and educational organizations to build capacity in order to realize transformational change.

Let’s work together

● Grade Level Work

Meeting with grade level educators are opportunities to further understandings about culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies and how to operationalize them in instruction.

● Equity Team Meetings

Whether working with a school’s established equity team or guiding a school in developing one, we’ll spotlight the ways the team can work to forge systemic changes that increase equity.

● Classroom Coaching

Individual classroom coaching will support teachers as they implement culturally relevant and sustaining teaching as a stance and lead discussions about identity, race, racism, and issues related to equity with students.

● Action Plan Development

The action plan we develop will be a working, fluid document that allows educators to identify short- and long-term goals and hold each other accountable for making substantive change.

● Leadership Meetings

During these meetings we’ll discuss key steps toward equity and antiracist teaching.

● Parent / Caregiver Community Meetings

Families must be included in the work of equity. We’ll work to make communication and development of goals fluid and inclusive.
